Michael Rossoff, L.Ac.
Michael Rossoff, L.Ac. has lived a macrobiotic lifestyle for 51 years. During these years he has directed macrobiotic education centers, published a magazine (MacroMuse), and taught in numerous cities in the U.S., as well as England, Canada, Europe and Israel. Since 2006 he has been privileged to teach programs at Concord Institute in London. Michael’s first macrobiotic studies were with Michio Kushi, in Boston in the late 1960s, along with shiatsu studies with Shizuko Yamamoto, followed by acupuncture studies in England with J.R. Worsley. Since then Michael has combined the benefits and wisdom of both macrobiotic and Oriental medicine in his approach to healing with his personal counseling sessions and public teaching. In 1999, Michael took a few off to further his Oriental medicine studies at Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where received an advanced degree.
He was academic dean of Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine from 2000-2003, and taught shiatsu massage at for 10 years at the N.C. School of Natural Healing.
Since 1995, Michael has lived in Asheville, North Carolina, in the south eastern United States where he maintains a private practice in acupuncture and dietary/lifestyle counseling. Further, he continues his teaching and travels.
