LOCATION
Asheville, North Carolina is a small, vibrant city, located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina.  It is at the intersection of Interstate 40 and I-26, which runs from South Carolina into Tennessee.

There is an excellent airport, Asheville-Hendersonville Regional Airport, which is about 20 minutes drive south of Asheville.  USAirways, Delta and other airlines have daily flights.  Another airport, Greenville-Spartanburg (SC) is about 1+ hours drive away.

Asheville’s local culture has a strong emphasis on natural lifestyles with an array of vegetarian and farm-to-table restaurants featuring locally grown food, often organic.  Its downtown is walking friendly, often thronged with both locals and tourists enjoying regional arts and crafts, restaurants, music, architectural gems and a generally delightful ambiance.  The famous Biltmore estate is nearby, as well as North Carolina Arboretum, Botanical Gardens adjoining the University

of NC campus, the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, and
other areas for hiking and appreciating nature.  Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit.
